
Country News: Dierks Bentley to Receive Humanitarian Award
Dierks Bentley is set to receive quite an honor during the 2018 Country Radio Seminar. He will be honored with the CRS 2018 Artist Humanitarian Award. The award is for his charitable work and is from the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It’s given to a country music artist who 'exhibited exceptional humanitarian efforts during their career.' According to tasteofcountry.com past recipients of the award have been Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, Reba McEntire and more.
According to tasteofcountry.com Chris Young has another career achievement for his song Losing Sleep. That was his lead single from his album with the same name and it has been certified Gold by the RIAA. This marks the 17th gold or platinum certification Young has received for a single by the RIAA.
Charlie Daniels announced there will be a 2018 Volunteer Jam. Volunteer Jam XX: A tribute to Charlie will feature Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Chris Janson, the Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and more. According to tasteofcountry.com the ‘jam’ will be held in Nashville on March 7.
