
Country News: Joe Walsh Kicks Off His VetsAid Nonprofit
Joe Walsh from the Eagles’ will hold a concert to coincide with his new foundation, VetsAid, with the help some powerful country stars. The VetAid benefit concert will be held September 20 in Fairfax, Virginia. Tasteofcountry.com reports Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band will perform for the in inaugural concert. Walsh created VetsAid as a nonprofit organization that aims to raise money for veterans and their families.
The National Transportation Safety Board has issued its preliminary report on Troy Gentry's fatal helicopter crash on Sept. 8. The initial report said the helicopter pilot was experiencing mechanical issues prior to the crash. On theboot.com they say several minutes after the helicopter took off the pilot (who was killed in the accident) radioed that he was unable to control the engines RPM’s. The pilot tried to land but fell short of the runway as a high pitched whine could be heard from the helicopter during the later portion of the descent.
Granger Smith will release his second album called ‘When the Good Guys Win.’ Theboot.com tells us it will be a 14 track project that includes his chart climbing song “Happens Like That.’ Smith will headline his own tour starting November 3.
