Country News: Lynn Anderson Country Hall Exhibit Coming Soon
Country legend Lynn Anderson will have an exhibit at The Country Music Hall of Fame. It will be named after her number one song ‘Keep Me in Mind.’ The exhibit will run from September 15 to June 24. According to theboot.com Anderson signed her first record deal at the age of 19 with her biggest hit coming in 1970 with (I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden. Anderson died in 2015 after suffering a heart attack. She was 67.
Garth Brooks daughter Allie had one heck of a 21st birthday celebration last Friday. On theboot.com she sang backup during her dads concert in Los Angeles, was serenaded by Garth and the crowd then backstage her fiancé Jonathan Roberts surprised her with a marriage proposal.
It’s the song that got away from Alan Jackson but became a big hit for the Zac Brown Band. Jackson was going to record ‘Chicken Fried’ but decided against it because he had just had too many ‘food’ songs on recent albums and he didn’t want another one. According to theboot.com it all worked out for the best, especially for Zac Brown because it became the band first number one song.
