Country News: Pistol Annies Want to Release New Music

The Pistol Annies made up of Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe, are hoping to have new music out this year. On theboot.com Miranda Lambert says things are going slow because all three members are busy right now. Lambert started hinting of a reunion last year but she now says they’re not even close.

Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas is renaming the 32 floor of their hotel. A room on that floor was used in the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting where 58 people were killed. According to theboot.com they will rename floors 31-34 to floors 56-59. The move is an effort to remove the association of the 32nd floor with the tragedy.

Chris Stapleton currently has the top three spots on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.  According to theboot.com Stapleton's From A Room: Volume 2 is in the No. 1 spot; his first album, Traveler, is holding down No. 2; and From A Room: Volume 1 is currently sitting pretty in spot No. 3. The last time that happened was in 1992, 25 years ago, by Garth Brooks.
