The shooting that took place Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas has claimed at least 59 lives and injured at least 527 people: the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. According to CNN.com the shooter was 64 year old Stephen Paddock who had 23 guns with him on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Resort and another 19 were recovered at his home in Nevada. He killed himself before police entered his room and there no known motive at this time.

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting there has been a GoFundMe account set up to raise money for victims and their families. According to theboot.com donations have been pouring into the campaign since it was set up on Monday.

President Donald Trump has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of those at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. According to theboot.com the President sent his condolences to the victims and families and offered gratitude to Las Vegas police and first responders for the speed in which they reacted.
