Country News: Thomas Rhett and Wife Lauren Expecting and Adopting

Life’s about to get a little crazy for Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren: The couple is not only expecting, they’re adopting a child from Africa!

Both Rhett and his wife revealed the big news on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a photo of them holding gold balloons that spell out the word ‘BABY.’ Rhett and his wife who are supporters of the charity 147 Million Orphans began the adoption process to bring home a child from Africa in 2016; at that same time, they stopped trying to get pregnant. But in December she began to feel ill and sure enough, she was pregnant.

Details have been revealed for a celebration of life event honoring late country singer Holly Dunn, set to take place in late March. Dunn biggest hit was ‘Daddy’s Hands.’ The celebration of life event for Dunn will take place in Nashville on March 30. The event will be an evening of live music and will also feature a silent auction; performers will be announced at a later date. Entry into the celebration of life event will require a minimum $25 donation, with proceeds going to ovarian cancer research. Dunn died in November of 2016, following a battle with a rare, very aggressive type of ovarian cancer; she was 59 years old.

RaeLynn shared a Valentine’s Day message for her husband, Josh Davis that contained some big news: Davis has joined the United States military. Davis left for basic training on Monday (Feb. 13); the singer calls his enlistment ‘a new adventure for us.’ RaeLynn asks her fans to pray for both her husband and all of those with a loved one in the military. She calls Davis her hero ‘and the best Valentine a wife could ask for.’
