Country News: Toby Keith to Play at Trump Inauguration
The Oak Ridge Boys have accomplished plenty in their more than 40 years together: They’ve released dozens of albums and toured all over the world; they’ve racked up more than 20 major awards, including five Grammys; they’ve become members of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame and it looks like they will put out a new album in 2017. The Oak Ridge Boys last released a new studio project, Rock of Ages, Hymns and Gospel Favorites, in 2015.
Lee Greenwood and Toby Keith will perform at the Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration inauguration concert on January 19. Best known for his signature song ‘God Bless the USA,’ Greenwood has already performed in front of five sitting presidents, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. His appearance at the Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration will be his fourth time performing at a presidential inauguration event. Keith has performed for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
The Zac Brown Band shared two massive pieces of news on Friday. In May, they’ll release a brand-new album and hit the road for a 40-plus-stop tour. On May 12, ZBB will drop Welcome Home, a new album that they are currently recording. Also on May 12, ZBB will begin their 2017 Welcome Home Tour, in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. So far, Hartford, Connecticut is the closest they will be to Maine.
