Did You See The Stunning Luxury Yacht Docked In Rockland?
If you were in Rockland around July 18th, you may have noticed a boat (ship?) that seemed a little out of place. The vibrant blue and white luxury yacht Silver Shalis was spotted docked among the lobster and power boats that typically frequent the Mid-coast Maine harbor.
According to the Yacht Charter Fleet website, the 180 foot long luxury yacht was built by Seattle's Delta Marine in 2010. She has a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 14 knots. She is large enough and carries enough fuel for ocean crossings.
Some of the interior features include an upper-deck lap pool and a gym. There is also a glass enclosed cylindrical elevator. A stairway, featuring curved marble wall panels, wraps around the elevator.
According to the Pen Bay Pilot, the boat is owned by Larry Silverstein, a New York City real estate developer.
The Silver Shalis not available for charter. However, if you have the cash - LOTS of cash - we have put together a list of yachts that are available for charter. Just keep in mind, these will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars per week.
