Dierks Bentley was supposed to be the kickoff for the concert season at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor.  This stop on his Beers on Me tour would have been the first big concert following a series of renovations and additions to the Maine Savings Amphitheater, formerly known as Darling's Waterfront Pavilion.

Sadly, we are getting word that the concert, scheduled for Thursday, June 23rd, has been cancelled.

A post on the Maine Savings Amphitheater Facebook page explains that the cancellation is due to a scheduling conflict.

If you purchased tickets for the show, refunds will be automatically given from the point of sale.

Get more details and find out about upcoming shows in Bangor on the Waterfront Concerts website.

Other major country concerts planned for this summer include Keith Urban on July 27th, Luke Combs in early September, and Jason Aldean on September 10th.

9 Closed Maine Amusement & Water Parks

We have put together a list of now closed amusement parks and water parks. Some of these were in operation in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s... Some haven't been around for over a century. ***Keep in mind that some of the information regarding when these places were open and what they offered comes from listener comments and stories passed down by people who visited (or worked at) these parks.
