It’s a first for Disney, their first gluten-free and vegan bakery. It’s open in the Downtown Disney Marketplace for those with specific dietary needs.

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC is in the shopping and dining area at Disney.  McKenna is the founder of BabyCakes Bakery and wanted to bring the bakery to Disney for kids and parents with food allergies. She offers a range of goodies like frosted cupcake, donuts, cookie and breads.

The Disney store will be her third, joining one in New York and the other in Los Angeles. The shops are vegan and gluten-free but it is estimate that only about 10% of the bakery’s customers are there for dietary reasons, the rest come for the food and the storefront entertainment.

There’s a live performance in the front window of the store of a cupcake frosting and donut dunking.
