Don Carrigan Shirt Raises Money For The Good Shepherd Food Bank
Due in large part to the pandemic, over the last year, we've all become more aware of food insecurity in Maine.
News Center Maine's WCSH and WLBZ have been working with The Good Shepherd Food Bank for years. Their partnership began 14 years ago with a one day food drive. Later, they expanded those efforts. In 2018, they launched a year round "Feed Maine" food collection program.
Now, they have come up with a creative way to raise money for one of the largest food banks in New England. This fundraiser plays off the unique ways that Dr. Nirav Shah has been referring to News Center Maine's Don Carrigan during those Maine CDC briefings.
Each shirt costs $20, with $11.50 going to The Good Shepherd Food Bank.
