According to WABI, police have identified the man who was hit and killed by a pickup truck on Route 202 in Winthrop on Wednesday evening.

The man has been identified as 44-year-old Eric Stinson, of Pittston

He was reportedly hit by a black Dodge pickup near the Winthrop Vet Clinic on Route 202.

Following the incident, Stinson was taken to MaineGeneral where, tragically, he passed away.

The crash is still under investigation and is being reconstructed by Maine State Police. The Monmouth Police Department and Maine State Police are assisting, and the Kennebec-Somerset District Attorney’s Office has been notified.
