Experts Say This Maine Restaurant Needs to be on Your Bucket List

One of the great things about living in Maine is how many amazing restaurants we have in our state.

They are not just located in the populated southern part of the state, either. Nearly every town, no matter how small, has at least one great restaurant. From the Downunder Sports Pub in Houlton to Timber Kitchen in Bangor, to the Reading Room Restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine is filled with unforgettable dining options.

That being said, many of the state's (many of New England's) best restaurants are found in the Portland area.

Recently, Love Food put out their list of restaurants in each state that need to be on your 'bucket list'.

Which Maine Restaurant Needs to be on Your Bucket List?

According to the Love Food article, the Eventide Oyster Company in Portland needs to be on your dining bucket list.

Located on Middle Street in Portland, the Eventide Oyster Company is known for the chef's creative seafood dishes.

In addition to oysters on the half shell, Eventide serves up clam chowder, their unique take on Maine lobster stew (it's curried - yum!), fried fish, and unique sandwiches. Check out their full menu HERE.

Eventide also has a location near Fenway Park in Boston.

Other New England Bucket List Restaurants

Love Food's choice for New Hampshire was the Portsmouth tapas restaurant Moxy.

Because of Boston's love of dumplings, the website chose Mei Mei as the Massachusetts bucket list restaurant.

In Vermont, they chose Hen of the Wood Waterbury, in Rhode Island they chose the White Horse Tavern, and the choice for Connecticut was Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in New Haven.
