We had previously told you about how Central Church has taken the idea of an Easter Egg Hunt to a whole new level!

For those who are unfamiliar, the regional church, which has locations in Augusta, Topsham, and China, have occasionally done a Helicopter Easter Egg Drop.  What is it?  It is exactly what it sounds like.  A helicopter flies overhead and drops Easter Eggs out of it.  Then, the kids take to the field to collect the goods.

The first time the church did the event was in 2017.  Despite the fact the event was a huge success, they took a few years off before bringing it back in 2022.  And yes, they are doing it in 2023, as well.

The event had been scheduled to take place at the Topsham and China locations on Saturday, April 1st, but the nasty weather forced them to postpone the events.

Instead, they will take place today (Sunday, April 2nd).  Because of the lateness of the announcement, and the church's services, the events will take place in the afternoon instead of the morning.

The Topsham-area drop will take place at the Topsham Fairgrounds.  They are asking people to be at that location at 2 PM for a 2:30 drop.

The China-area drop will happen at the China Rec Fields.  They are asking people to arrive there at 2:30. The drop there is expected to take place at 3 PM.

You can find more information about this, and all of their great community events, on their website.
