Fairfield, Maine Man Seriously Injured in Friday Night Crash
A Central Maine man was seriously injured in a Friday afternoon crash in Fairfield.
According to an article on the WCSH 6 website, police say it happened just before 4:40 PM on Main Street in Fairfield. That's a spot near the Post Office.
Investigators say 49-year-old Dana Dodge was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing when he was struck. He was first taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center, then transferred to Maine Medical Center due to life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 39-year-old Fairfield man, was not hurt.
Police say speed and impairment do not appear to be factors, and no charges have been filed at this point.
The Maine State Police are continuing to investigate.
We all hope that Mr. Dodge makes a quick recovery.
