According to an article in the KJ, police in Fairfield are investigating an alleged hit-and-run crash that took place on Saturday evening.

The article explains that, at about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, a 38-year-old pedestrian was hit by a vehicle traveling on Oakland Road in Fairfield.  The pedestrian, a woman whose identity was not released, was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.  Fortunately, according to police, her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A witness to the incident described the vehicle that hit the woman as a mid-sized black sedan.

As of Sunday, police did say they had leads in the case.
