Police in Farmington have charged a 34-year old woman for allegedly leaving her 20-month-old child locked in a parked car while she was shopping.Two witnesses say they saw the baby in the vehicle parked outside Walmart earlier this month. They add that the windows were down a few inches.

Farmington Police Officer Justin Blais led the investigation and issued a summons to 34-year-old Denise Boulette to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. She is due to appear in court on October 9th.

Boulette told the police that the baby was sleeping when she went into the store.
