It takes a special man or woman to become a first responder. Putting their lives on the line on a daily basis to protect the citizens of any community is a stressful job to say the least. And one local company in Augusta wants to say thanks by serving up a free luncheon for first responders in the Central Maine area on Tuesday October 25.

Gallant Therapy Services (GTS) is a great company located in Augusta that works with children and adults with intellectual disabilities, as well as those on the autism spectrum. I know firsthand the quality of work being done by this company as I have worked for them on a part time basis for 6 years. GTS is staffed by caring local men and women who's priority is always on focusing on skill development of each and every client. This will be a great opportunity for the clients of GTS to meet and mingle with first responders in a casual atmosphere.

The luncheon will run on Tuesday 10/25 from 11 AM-1 PM, and from 2:30 PM-4:30 PM. and is open to all first responders in the area.  No time is too short for any first responder to stop in, say hi, meet the wonderful staff and clients of GTS and enjoy some great food.

Another great local business in Augusta, Lisa's Restaurant and Catering has graciously stepped up and will be donating dessert to the luncheon.

Gallant Therapy Services is located at 12 Shuman Way off Western Avenue in Augusta located in back of the Lee Farm Mall.
