Footbridge Lobster Opening Second Maine Location
As far as food is concerned, there is not much more 'Maine' than a lobster roll, right?
After all, there is a reason why our social media feeds are dominated by influencers doing videos about trying their first lobster roll. On top of that, we've seen dozens of videos and pictures from celebrities having a lobster roll at their favorite Maine eatery.
Of course, whether you are a local or a tourist, you have a favorite spot for a lobster roll.
If you ask someone in Southern Maine about their favorite spot for a lobster roll, there is a good chance that they would say Footbridge Lobster in Ogunquit. Well, if you love their lobster rolls, we have some really good news!
For nearly two decades, the team has been serving lobster rolls and other great food out of a small shack in Perkins Cove. Now, we are hearing that they are about to expand!
Footbridge Lobster Opening Kittery, Maine Location
According to a posting on the Ogunquit Barometer Facebook page, and an article on the Seacoast Online website, the little lobster place that could will be opening in the Kittery Outlets on Route 1 in Kittery.
The new location will be open all year and it will feature indoor seating. That way, you can enjoy your favorite lobster roll in the middle of a nor'easter or a blizzard.
The original Footbridge Lobster is just down the street from you? No worries! The original location will continue to operate.
While we cannot be 100% positive, it looks like the popular lobster spot will be going into the old Definitive Brewing tasting room on Route 1. This is based on the description about them going into a spot across from Kittery Trading Post and Bob's Clam Hut.
At this point, the plan is for the new location to open in the spring of 2027.
As we learn more we will pass the information on to you and you can keep an eye on everything Footbridge Lobster is up to by following them on Facebook.
