About a month ago, as the coronavirus pandemic began to intensify here in Maine, we started hearing stories of people confronting those that they perceived as being out-of-state residents.  Some were concerned that these out-of-staters could have brought the virus with them.  In one incident, several people attempted to force two men from New Jersey to "quarantine" by felling a tree to block their driveway.

After several of those incidents, law enforcement started warning people not confront others.  One of the reasons given was the fact that there was a chance those people were, in fact, Mainers who were using rental (or company) vehicles that just happened to have out-of-state license plates.

Clearly, Fran from Bethel did not want to take any chances.

Great idea, Fran!
