Gardens Aglow at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Opens This Weekend
For the better part of a decade, the most anticipated Holiday attraction in Maine has been Gardens Aglow at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay.
From mid-November through the end of the year, the sprawling gardens come alive with three quarters of a million twinkling lights spread across 14 acres. Even though we have all seen pictures and videos, they do not do the attraction justice. It really is BREATHTAKING!
Even though we have never heard it mentioned, in theory, the attraction has so many lights that it should be visible from space. This is according to some science math done by the team at the University of Leicester. How wild is that?
This year's Gardens Aglow schedule
In 2023, the attraction will be open Thursday through Sunday starting November 18th. The last day for the attraction will be New Years Eve. Gardens Aglow will also be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
