Everybody say it with me now, 'it's the most wonderful time of the yeeeaarrrr!'.

Now that we have finally made it to Thanksgiving, I'm way less of a Grinch about the holiday traditions starting up throughout the state of Maine. I'm still a little annoyed at the people who took down their 4th of July decorations and immediately tossed the tree up, but to each their own.

Anyway, I digress here a little bit. One of the most epic traditions of the Christmas season is when parents take their little for a visit with the Jolly Old Elf so they can tell him their holiday wishes and get that ever-coveted photo-op.

While Santa will be making many stops throughout Central Maine this season, including Kringleville in Waterville, we just so happened to get a peek at the Big Man's schedule for the next week or so, and we found a rather peculiar stop on his calendar.

Coming up on Sunday, December 3, Santa Claus will be making a stop at the Quarry Tap Room in beautiful downtown Hallowell, Maine.

Is it because Santa loves the city of Hallowell? Is it because he's going to need a pit stop between Gardiner and Waterville? Or is it just because Santa, like so many of us, is a lover of craft beer?

We say it's likely all of the above.

Here's where you and your kids come in. Beginning at 1:30 that Sunday afternoon, there will be photos with Santa provided by Rachel C Photography. This will be a great chance for you to get out, not have to drive far, and let your child get their list off to Santa.

The photos are by 'donation only', and the proceeds will be going to help area children that are in need this holiday season. So make plans now to get out to the Quarry Tap Room and get a picture with Santa... and maybe a cold one.
