According to WMTW, Governor Mills has ordered the suspension of all lodging operations in the State of Maine.

This includes hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, rentals (like Air BnB), campgrounds, and RV parks.

The order says that lodging can be used as housing in emergency situations like persons at risk of domestic violence and the homeless.

The new order also forces people entering to state to quarantine for 14 days.  People providing essential services to the state will be exempt from the order.

Anyone found in violation of the order faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

The new mandates goes into effect at noon on Sunday and will remain in effect until April 30th.
