Gronkowski is set to run in the Run for the Roses, the Kentucky Derby.

Not Rob but a horse named after the New England Patriots tight end. The race is set for May 5th Kentucky Derby. It's a European based horse that just won the Burrandon Stack in England and by winning that race the horse is in the Derby.

On espn.com this will be the first time a European based horse will be allotted one spot in the 20 horse field.

Why did they name the horse 'Gronkowski? The owner, Kerri Radcliffe, says she loves the Patriots and the horse stands 6' 5 " tall , the same as Gronk. The horse's owner says the horse is built much the same so the name fits.

Gronkowski (the horse) has finished first in his last four races, with two victories coming in March.
