According to the Waterfront Concerts website, Cody Jinks has been playing music since he was a teen.

When he was 15, he got his first guitar: a Takamine acoustic.  At 16, he graduated to a Fender Squire.  By the time he was 17, he was playing in garage bands.

Over the next few years, Jinks continued to perform part-time while working normal jobs.  Through those years, he continued to chase his dream of being a full-time musician.

That perseverance did eventually pay off.  Now, he's on the road, making music full-time.
