If you love to go fast and you have always wanted to own a piece of presidential history, here’s your chance.

According to an article on the WABI website, a speedboat owned by former President George H. W. Bush is going to be auctioned off later this week.

According to a post on the George and Barbara Bush Foundation Facebook page, the 38” Fountain 38CC boat, which is named “Fidelity V” was custom built for the former president.  It is powered by a trio of Mercury Verado XXL L6 engines and capable of reaching speeds of 75 MPH!

The hull of the boat is black with pinstripes, and is emblazoned with a presidential seal.

The boat had been used by the family to cruise the waters off the coast of Kennebunkport.

The post goes on to say:

If you are interested in owning a piece of history from the 41st president, email Madison.Hillin@bush41.org.

The boat, and other items from the Bush family will be up for auction on Thursday in Houston, Texas.  It is all part of the 2024 Presidential Salute auction.  Money raised from the sale will go to increase the offerings at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum and The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

In addition to the auction, the event will feature a dinner and guest speakers, including former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice.
