Hey Maine: Here’s Some Country News
Loretta Lynn has been forced to postpone more concerts following a fall she suffered in late August. All concerts have all been postponed until further notice including her appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on Sept. 16.
Her injuries are not serious but she will be undergoing minor surgery and Loretta’s doctors have advised her to stay off the road until she’s made a full recovery. Loretta recently lost her grandson Jeffery Allen Lynn who passed away at the age of 47.
Cole Swindell says he has plenty to be nervous about before judging the Miss America Competition on Sunday (Sept. 11), and talking to last year’s country music judge didn’t really help. Brett Eldredge represented country music, so naturally, Swindell called on his friend. The only thing he said was to practice my poker face because you’ve got these beautiful girls walking straight at you and can’t let ‘em know ‘Oh my God! You’re hot!’”
Gary Allan has been hard at work on a new album, but it hasn’t been a cakewalk. Allan says the hardest thing about recording a collection of music is deciding which songs are going to be on the album. He cut 20 songs but only 10 are going to be on the album. That’s the hardest thing he has to do, narrowing down the songs to fit one album.
