In Glendale, Ariz., you’ll be able to drive down Marty Robbins Boulevard. The late country singer’s hometown will rename a downtown stretch of street in honor of the Country Music Hall of Famer.

On Sept. 26, Glendale will come together to celebrate their native son in an honorary street-naming ceremony for the new Marty Robbins Boulevard. With hits like ‘El Paso’ and ‘Singing the Blues,’ Robbins earned Top 10 hits and a Grammy. He passed away on December 8, 1982 at the age of 57 of heart failure.

The 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival has just announced Sam Hunt as a headliner for the fifth annual event, held in Hunter, N.Y. The 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival is set for June 9-11, at New York State’s Hunter Mountain. Hunt is the festival’s second 2017 headliner to be revealed; he joins ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year Jason Aldean and lots more performers will be announced in the coming months.

Charlie Daniels was on hand for the opening of a new Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit dedicated to his life and career on Tuesday night in Nashville. ‘Charlie Daniels: Million Mile Reflections’ traces Daniels’ evolution in music from his earliest days all the way through his award-winning run as one of the most beloved entertainers in country music history The 79-year-old icon  is slated for induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October.
