A longtime supporter of the fight against breast cancer, Jason Aldean has been named a More Than Pink Hero by the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The More Than Pink campaign was launched to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the next 10 years.
Their More Than Pink Heroes are being honored for their dedication to raising awareness of and funds for breast cancer research. Aldean has become known for treating breast cancer survivors like the VIPs they are at his shows, in addition to making considerable donations to the cause.
Garth Brooks will give his first-ever performance in Hawaii in December. He and wife Trisha Yearwood will perform in Honolulu as part of the 75th Commemoration of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. Brooks and Yearwood will play two unplugged shows on December 10, at 6:30PM and 10PM. The shows will close out a week of events commemorating the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Tanya Tucker has been forced to postpone a string of upcoming tour dates after being hospitalized due to an upper respiratory infection during her North American tour. Tucker became ill on Friday before a show in Watertown, S.D., and canceled the evening’s concert. The following day, she was still not feeling well and, after visiting a local clinic, was diagnosed with pneumonia before being airlifted back to Nashville for continued treatment.
Joey + Rory took home one trophy at the 2016 GMA Dove Awards on Tuesday night. Joey + Rory earned Long Form Video of the Year for their final album, Hymns That Are Important to Us.
