The Magical Ice Castles Return to New Hampshire This Winter
Winter in New England really is a magic season, isn't it?
We're not just talking about Christmas and the other holidays, either. The wonder of winter extends way beyond December 31st. Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts have so much to offer during the winter. Our region offers skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice climbing, and some really cool attractions.
One of the most notable winter attractions in New England is Ice Castles in North Woodstock, New Hampshire
What Is Ice Castles?
As the name implies, the attraction features castles and other structures made from ice. Even cooler, the structures and sculptures are illuminated by thousands of LED lights.
Additionally, the New Hampshire attraction also features ice slides, a fairy village, sleigh rides, and a bar serving up beers and other adult beverages.
There is even a private alcove you can reserve for special occasions. A proposal, for example.

When Does Ice Castles Open?
As the attraction is made from ice, the company that operates the attraction is really unable to set a hard opening date.
However, they have started selling tickets based on when they typically open for the season.
Right now (December 3rd), the earliest tickets are for January 23rd. If we get a lot of cold weather over the next few weeks, we could see that opening date moved up significantly.
Tickets range in price from $15 to $32 depending on when you go.
