Augusta’s Skatepark Is Getting a New Track for Bikes, Scooters and Skateboards
Augusta’s Skatepark is getting an upgrade, and the new addition will give people on bikes and scooters a reason to check it out, too.
I came across a video on Instagram showing the renovations, and honestly, it looks so cool. The project includes a new pump track beside the existing skatepark, plus the replacement of a section of the current park, according to the Kennebec Journal. Once completed, the track can be used by bikes, scooters, and skateboards.
What’s Changing at Williams Park?
Nor’easter Skateparks is handling the construction, with funding coming from the Maine Skateboard Association and the City of Augusta.

What caught my attention is that this project gives people more ways to use a spot that’s already part of the community. If your household has a skateboard kid, a scooter kid, and someone who would rather ride a bike, that new addition sounds pretty exciting.
A Local Spot Worth Watching
Williams Park is located off Bangor Street and also has basketball courts, a playground, and a community pool. The skatepark improvements add another reason to keep this Augusta park on your radar.

I love seeing updates like this right here in Augusta. You don’t have to be the person attempting tricks to appreciate a local space getting some attention, and I’ll happily leave those tricks to someone with better balance.
