Is there really any pizza that is worth avoiding? While millions of buzzed Americans at 2am would say no, a national list officially says yes.

Pizza isn't just America's favorite Italian past time, it's a literal staple of our overall diets. I mean think about it for a second, would ya? How often would you say you eat pizza? If your answer was less than once a week, just go ahead and unfriend me now because that's unacceptable.

And, when it comes to where we get our favorite pizza pies, people all across New England are ready to throw hands defending the places they say has the best slice around. However, at least according to a new list, not all pizzas are created equally.

A list, recently published by 24/7 Wall St, went through the top 5 national pizza chains that people should be avoiding. But how exactly did this publication come up with the worst ones? Well, I'll let them explain it in their own words.

To answer that question, 24/7 Wall St. consulted pizza reviews on five different food blogs and websites. Because pizza preferences are so subjective, we only included pizza chains that were ranked near the bottom on multiple sites.

Now the big question- which pizza chains made the list of ones to avoid? Well, ranking at number one was Chuck E. Cheese. However, we don't really have a ton of those around New England, and none are in Maine.

Same thing with CiCi's pizza and Papa Murphy's. Another surprising pizza joint that made the list, which does have quite a few locations throughout the northeast was Little Caesar's. However, the pizza joint that shocked us the most was the last one on the list.

According to 24/7 Wall St, Domino's Pizza came in at number 5 on their list of pizza places that should be avoided. This mega pizza conglomerate has a whopping 27 locations throughout Maine and even more in New Hampshire.

The publication said that some of the most common online criticisms about Domino's included a lack of consistent quality and low-quality toppings. But, they even broke it down more than that.

24/7 Wall St went a step further and provided the top 5 reasons why Domino's should be avoided.

5. It's unhealthy

4. The quality is bad

3. The Pizza is cold or in shambles when you receive it (via delivery)

2. Domino's Pizza doesn't reheat well

1. Domino's has tried to reinvent themselves too many times

What say you? Will you continue to eat at any of the aforementioned chains? I know I will ;)
