Fourth of July in Maine is a big celebration filled with music, parades, food, special events and, of course, fireworks.

There are a variety of places you can catch the spectacular show of light and sound for the Independence Day weekend, and I've rounded up 19 different options.

Just make sure to note that some are taking place on Friday, July 3, 2025, while the majority are actually on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Where Can I Watch Fourth of July Fireworks in Maine for 2026?

All across Maine, from Bangor to Augusta, from Portland to York, the Fourth of July festivities will be taking place. And this is a big year, too, because it marks the 250th anniversary. (Apparently, it's called a "semiquincentennial," but I had to look that up because I had no clue there was a special name to highlight the occasion.)

Of the 19 fireworks displays listed below, you'll find that 14 of them are on July 4, four of them are on July 3, and one wraps up the weekend on Sunday, July 5.

Take a look to see which place you want to bring the family to enjoy the fireworks this year.

I've always been partial to the Bath fireworks display as part of its annual Bath Heritage Days. You've not only got an incredible fireworks show over the Kennebec River, but there are also four days of things to do: carnival rides, games, concerts, a beer and wine garden, art in the park and food trucks.

Honestly, whichever spot you pick in Maine is likely to be a fantastic choice, and celebrating Independence Day with a fireworks show? Count me in.

Where do you plan on watching the fireworks this year?
