I Was Devastated When This Iconic Clothing Store in The Maine Mall Closed Forever

This may come as a surprise to you considering it's 2025 and we have so many clothing options to choose from aside from missing Abercrombie & Fitch, I know. Hear me out on this one though.

We've lost stores like Forever 21, Olympia Sports, Abercrombie & Fitch, K-B Toys, and many more throughout the years.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Out of all the stores that had to leave us, I miss Abercrombie & Fitch the most which is something I never thought I'd say.

Abercrombie was my first job in high-school and believe me when I tell you how different the standards of fashion are in there now-a-days compared to 15 years ago.

I remember a few key components from working that retail job, but the biggest one that still hits is the way they didn't allow black clothing to be sold in any of their locations.

Now? Now they love to sell the best black basic clothing and continue to sell skinny jeans.

The skinny jeans are really the only reason I miss that store so badly to be honest.

But just look at the fashion Abercrombie is selling now, it's unrecognizable.

What fashion is trending Spring 2025

Fashion freaks me out lately considering the only jeans that seem to be on sale anymore are balloon looking, low-rise bell bottoms?

Obviously I had to ask the fashion gods themselves at Vogue and here's what they're predicting will be big this year:

Brands that sell skinny jeans still

A&F always had the best skinny "leggings" in their stores and was my secret go-to for high-waisted stretchy skinny jeans. Then they broke my heart by cutting off my supply in 2019 when they permanently closed their door.

Online shopping for jeans just isn't an option. Only a certain circle of people will understand the intense truth behind that statement. Dear universe, Bring back A&F to the Maine Mall. Sincerely, all the girls that don't want to wear balloon pants anymore.
