Maine Man Arrested For Allegedly Holding a Woman at Knife-Point For 3 Days
According to an article on the WABI website, a man from Lincolnville was arrested in Belfast last night for allegedly holding a woman at knife-point for three days.
The article explains that, at about 8 PM on Sunday, police were called to a hotel on Searsport Avenue in Belfast for a domestic violence incident.
A woman came to the door of one of the rooms and informed officers that her ex-boyfriend was in the room and that he had a weapon. She reportedly told officers that he had threatened to kill her if she called police.
Additionally, the woman told police the suspect had made comments about wanting to die by 'suicide by cop'. She informed the officers that the man was recently arrested for domestic violence against her and was ordered not to have any contact with her.
The woman was removed from the scene and police spent the next several hours negotiating with the man.
