Central Maine Man Dead Following Thursday Morning Crash
A man from Sabattus is dead following a Thursday morning crash in Auburn.
According to an article in the Bangor Daily News, the serious crash happened early Thursday morning on Mount Auburn Avenue in Auburn.
It was just before 7 a.m. when 48-year-old Joshua Crowley, of Sabattus, was driving a 2024 Chevy Silverado along the busy road. For reasons that are still being investigated, the truck left the roadway and slammed into a retaining wall.
The impact was so severe that Crowley became trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and worked quickly to get him out of the wreckage.
Once he was freed, Crowley was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Sadly, despite the efforts to save him, police say he died from his injuries not long after arriving at the hospital.
