During her Thursday night (Feb. 28) Ryman show, Kacey Musgraves had yet another exciting surprise for the audience. Near the end of her set, she invited R&B singer CeeLo Green to the stage to join her in a performance of "Crazy," the hit song that Green originally performed as one half of soul duo Gnarls Barkley.

In her interpretation of the song, Musgraves brought a horn section and a dash of Western swing to "Crazy," trading off verses with Green as the two vocalists danced around the stage, swinging each other arm in arm. Press play above to watch.

The performance was the latest in a string of diverse, effective live covers for Musgraves, who brought Paramore's Hayley Williams on stage at the Ryman the evening before for a rendition of Cyndi Lauper's iconic 1983 hit, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." Both that collaboration and Musgraves' duet with Green on Thursday were a part of the country star's four-night Ryman residency, which continues on Friday (March 1) and Saturday (March 2).

Additionally, earlier in the week, Musgraves appeared onstage at the 2019 Houston Rodeo in her home state of Texas, and dipped into a very different kind of musical legacy with a soaring cover of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez's 1992 hit, "Como La Flor."

Presumably, the unforgettable covers and duets will keep on coming. After she finishes her stint at the Ryman, Musgraves will resume her Oh, What a World Tour, a trek that is set to extend through September of 2019. Earlier in the year, she also brought home all four of the trophies for which she was nominated at the 2019 Grammy Awards, including the all-genre Album of the Year Award. Musgraves is also currently up for two trophies at the 2019 ACM Awards, which will take place on April 7.
