For many country artists, 2020 started out in such a positive way.  In January and February, dozens of performers announced major tours.  One those those was Kenny Chesney.  He was going to set out on a nationwide stadium tour in support of his "Hear & Now" album.  Not surprisingly, one of those stops was going to be Gillette Stadium - the same place he had an attendance record in 2017 (over 121,000 people over two nights).

Then, just before St. Patrick's Day, everything came crashing down!  We started our "14 days to flatten the curve" and everyone cancelled their tours.

For several months, Kenny Chesney held out hope that he would be able to take his Chillaxification tour on the road in 2020.  But, by May, he had to admit that was not going to happen.  He postponed his tour, but did say that he was going to pay the employees of that tour the full salaries they would have made if they were on the road.

So, what did Kenny Chesney do to keep himself occupied that summer?  He chartered a yacht and cruised.  We're pretty sure he went all over the place, but one thing wo do know for a fact is that he spent part of July cruising up and down the coast of Maine.

According to a post by a woman named Nadine Turner Hodges on a Facebook group It's A Kenny Chesney Thing...  You Wouldn't Understand, the beach loving country star was spotted at The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport.

Apparently, he was also spotted on a yacht off the coast and at several Maine restaurants.

Sadly, he had to postpone his tour again in 2021.  However, it does appear he'll be hitting the road in 2022.  He'll be doing two shows at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.  He'll be at Gillette on August 26th and August 27th.
