We all know that Santa does his best to get every kid on his list what they want for Christmas, but sometimes he is stretched a little thin.

That's where his helpers come in.  These men and women, who come from all walks of life, help Santa make sure that every child wakes up to gifts on Christmas morning.

Larry Tardiff is one of those helpers.

According to an article on the WGME website, Larry and his family recently donated 100 bikes to the Lewiston-Auburn Area Salvation Army.  To ensure that the kids are safe when they ride their new bikes, he also got 100 helmets.

According to Kelly Mackneer, envoy of the Lewiston-Auburn Salvation Army, they are helping Santa get gifts for about 600 area kids this Holiday season.

If you have been blessed this year and want to help local families this season, you can make a donation to the Salvation Army on their website.  You can make a one-time donation or even set it up so that you make monthly donations throughout the year.

And, to Larry and all of Santa's helpers, thanks for doing what you do!
