If you are currently dealing with a power outage, you are not alone.

If you were one of those people hoping for a White Christmas, you got your wish.  Most of Maine woke up to what looked like a scene from a Hallmark Christmas movie.  The state was covered with a blanket of pristine white snow.  And, in many places, it was still falling.

Unfortunately for some, however, this weather has led to them losing power.

According to WMTW, as of 9 AM on Christmas Eve, about 20,000 Central Maine Power customers were without electricity.

Both CMP and Versant had announced on Thursday that they were preparing for potential power outages that could arise from the storm.

If you do encounter a downed power line, please leave it alone.  As the old school Central Maine Power commercial says, "No line is safe to touch... evah!"
