Little Big Town fans have a little bit more new music to tide them over until the quartet release their new album. The band dropped a new song titled "Happy People" via YouTube.

"Happy People" was written by Lori McKenna ("Girl Crush," "Humble & Kind") and Hailey Whitters. The feel-good track is featured as the first song on Little Big Town's seventh studio album, The Breaker.

"'Happy People' setting off the record, to me, is the perfect sentiment for what's going on in the world right now, and the things that are important, for us, anyway," Karen Fairchild told Taste of Country and other media at a recent press event in Nashville. "I hope it brings some happiness to people right now in what feels like a very chaotic time."

The song has a driving percussion rhythm featured throughout the upbeat track that highlights the positive message within the song's lyrics. Fairchild is featured as lead vocalist on "Happy People," while her bandmates assist on backing harmonies.

"Happy people don't cheat, happy people don't lie / They don't judge or hold a grudge and don't criticize / Happy people don't hate, happy people don't steal / 'Cause all the hurt sure ain't worth all the guilt they'd feel," Fairchild sings at the song's start.

"Happy People" is a song that urges us all to be kind to one other and to chase after "whatever puts a smile on your face and whatever makes you happy."

"Life is short and love is rare and we all deserve to be happy while we're here," LBT state at the song's end. Listen to "Happy People" above. The Breaker is available on Feb. 24.
