Official Details About Luke Combs' 2024 Maine Show

Like thousands of other people from across New England, you were probably pretty surprised to get an email from Waterfront Concerts on Tuesday morning, informing you that country megastar Luke Combs was going to be returning to Bangor this summer.

You may have even thought it was a scam. We did!

It turns out that it is completely legitimate.

Yes, Luke Combs is going to be returning to the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor.

According to that email, the show is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2024, and the show is being billed as The Middle of Somewhere Tour Returns.

If you are a big fan of Luke Combs, you probably know that his current tour is called the Growin' Up and Getting Old Tour.

So why is this show using the name of a tour he did two years ago?

The answer is simple: it is a makegood for a show he was unable to complete back in 2022.

When he was in Bangor in September of 2022, he was supposed to do a Friday and Saturday concert. The Friday show went off without a hitch. Unfortunately, some issues with his voice prevented him from doing a full show on Saturday.

He did perform on that Saturday and did a great job, but was not able to do a full show.

Because of this, he refunded the price of tickets bought for Saturday's show, and promised he would be back.

It looks like he is now making good on that promise.

Why did I get an email from Waterfront Concerts?

If you got an email on Tuesday morning, it means that your email was on file because you had purchased tickets to the Saturday show in 2022. People who were at that show will have the first chance to get tickets to this year's show.

At 10 AM on Wednesday, you'll be able to use the special code included in that email to buy tickets.

When can the rest of us get tickets?

Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 AM on Friday, April 26.

Luke Combs is ready to join the ranks of country artists who have opened their own bars in Nashville's Broadway district. The honky-tonk will be called Category 10, playing off of his debut single "Hurricane." Although true hurricanes are categorized no higher than a Category 5, Combs opted to double the intensity with a 10 ranking. It's a nod to his career, really.

Category 10 will be anything but small: The bar will be the largest entertainment venue on the strip, featuring the area's biggest dance floor and rooftop. Combs is also including more intimate spaces to accommodate young talented singers and songwriters.
