According to an article on WABI website, the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame held its third annual Unplugged show Sunday at the Irving Tanning Community Center.

The all-acoustic performance doubled as a fundraiser for the Hall of Fame and featured artists including Paul Main, Ray Stafford, and Ken Brooks alongside Jane Brooks.

Organizers say the unplugged format allows them to better tailor the experience for acoustic performers.  Ken Brooks, chairman of the Hall of Fame, explained that acoustic musicians often struggle to get the right sound in shows built around electric setups, noting that the amplification needs are very different.

If you missed this show, there’s another big event on the horizon. The Hall of Fame is preparing for its 49th annual Induction Ceremony and Show, where Per Hansen and Robin Right will be inducted.  That event will take place at the Silver Spur on May 127th.
