Maine Doctor Accused of Sex Trafficking Gets Day in Court
According to an article on the WGME website, a Maine doctor who was accused of sex trafficking was due to have his day in court on Thursday.
While we know that the hearing was supposed to take place at the Cumberland County Court, we do not know the specifics of what was to be discussed.
The article explains that 68-year-old Dr. Peter O'Donnell of Yarmouth was arrested and charged with sex trafficking in November of 2024.
Police allege that O'Donnell's massage parlor, A. Envy, in Freeport, was a front for prostitution, with the doctor recruiting and employing individuals to provide sexual services for clients.
In addition to allegedly running a brothel out of the massage parlor, Dr. O'Donnell has been accused of the sex trafficking of at least two individuals.

In addition to operating the massage parlor, Dr. O'Donnell reportedly ran a medical practice on Forest Falls Drive in Yarmouth, Maine.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics recently released a report with years of compiled data relating to human trafficking in the United States.
