B98.5’s Camp Out Hunger Food Drive Returns To Augusta, Maine, This November
It is sad that, despite the fact we live in a country of unimaginable wealth, we still have millions of people going hungry.
According to Feeding America's website, nearly 180,000 Mainers are facing food insecurity. Even more tragic, about 46,000 of those are children.
Here's how you can help those facing hunger in Central Maine.
Radio stations B98.5 and 92 Moose will be holding our 6th annual Camp Out Hunger food drive from November 4th through November 8th.
As in years past, we'll be camped out around the clock at Sam's Club in Augusta. We'll be collecting non-perishable food items, toiletries, and monetary donations for the Capital Region Salvation Army.
That means that everything you donate stays right here in Central Maine.
Don't want to wait to make a donation? You can make a monetary donation HERE. It can be a one-time donation or you can make it a recurring donation.
The event will be powered by Central Maine Power and presented by Affordable Manufactured Homes of Maine.
Thanks to Allen's Transfer - They will once again be providing us with an 18-wheeler trailer to put all of the food we have collected.
Pet Food drive sponsored by Charlie’s Subaru. Supported by: KSW Federal Credit Union, Rotary Club of Augusta, and Connected Credit Union.
With help from: Airtime US Cellular, Sunbelt Rentals, Dead River, SR1, Damons, and Cushnoc Beer
Also thanks to KSW Federal Credit Union & KV Federal Credit Union
Big thanks to Modern Woodman of Winthrop - they'll be making a matching donation of $2,500.
If you're a beer drinker, don't forget about Cushnoc's Camp Out Kolsch. When you buy a 4-pack of this amazing local beer, a donation will be made to Camp Out Hunger.
We can't wait to see you at Sam's Club in Augusta this November!
