
Maine Man Wanted For Murder Arrested In Mexico
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety and the US Marshalls, a Maine man wanted for the killing of his ex-girlfriend, has been apprehended in Cancun, Mexico.
According to the press release, Raymond Lester was arrested in Mexico on Monday evening. He has since been brought to Chicago, Illinois. He will be transferred back to Maine at a later date.
He was wanted for the mid-June slaying of his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Mokeme. She was found deceased in the middle of a road at Acadia National Park. She had reportedly been run over.
A warrant for his arrest had been issued on June 21st, 2022. A federal warrant for his arrest had been issued on June 29th, 2022.
