Maine Man Wins Enormous Cash Prize On Scratch Ticket

Thanks to what was likely a spur of the moment purchase, a mid-coast Maine man has won life changing money from the Maine State Lottery.

According to a post on the Maine State Lottery Facebook page, Cecil White, of Saint George won a pile of cash in the Instant Millions game.  The post, which details some of the largest lottery winners from the last month, shows that he won a whopping ONE MILLION BUCKS in the contest.

Other big winners for the last month include a man from Cape Elizabeth who won $250,000 and six $100,000 winners.

There were also a bunch of people who won anywhere from $10,000 to $60,000.

Not too bad for a scratch off ticket, but if you want to win some real LIFE CHANGING money, you need to grab a Powerball, Mega Bucks, or Mega Millions ticket.

Keep in mind that the jackpot for tonight's (September 13th) Powerball drawing is $550 million. Crazy!  If you did not want to wait for it to be paid out over 20 years, you could take the lump sum.  Before taxes, the cash option would be nearly $270 million.  You could set yourself up with a decent life with that kind of money, couldn't you?

Personally, even though I consider myself to be a bit of a gambler, I only play for life changing money.  That's why you will almost never see me on a table at the casino or buying smaller denomination scratch tickets.  I want to make sure that, if I win big, it is enough money that I can completely change my lifestyle.
