
Maine State Police Identify Homicide Victim
A Wednesday evening press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety announced that the Maine State Police were in the process of investigating a fatal shooting incident in the Penobscot County town of Lincoln.
The initial press release explained that the authorities were called to a home on Mohawk Road at about 9 AM on Wednesday, November 20th. When they arrived on the scene they discovered a deceased male.
While members of the Maine State Police processed the scene, the body of the deceased was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
A Thursday evening press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety has provided an update in the case.
An autopsy has led authorities to believe that the deceased is 51-year-old Jason Nadeau, of Lincoln. The autopsy also determined the cause of death was gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide.
The press release goes on to say:
The MSP has identified all involved parties, and no arrests have been made at this time. However, MSP believes this is an isolated incident with no ongoing public safety concerns.
