Maine Murder Suspect Arrested

The man wanted in connection with the killing of a 25 year old woman from Lewiston has been arrested.

A press release from Shannon Moss at the Maine Department of Public Safety explains that 40 year old Eddie Massie was arrested just after midnight on Thursday, December 15th. 2022.

The press release explains that law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home in Greene.  As a result of the search, Massie was discovered and taken into custody.

The press release says, in part:

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, shortly after midnight, the Maine State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant at 154 Allen Pond Road in Greene.  This search was the result of a collaborative investigation between the Lewiston Police Department and Maine State Police into the recent murder of 25-year-old Lacresha Howard of Lewiston.  During the search of the property, 40-year-old Eddie Massie was located and arrested on the outstanding warrant for murder.

Massie was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail where he is being held without bail.

An earlier press release explained that Lewiston Police Department officers were called to a residence on Pierce Street at about 11:10 on Sunday (December 11th) evening.  When they arrived, the found a deceased female in the hallway.

The, at that time, unidentified female was transported to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.  An autopsy determined that the manner of death was homicide.

After processing the scene and interviewing witnesses, law enforcement determined that Eddie Massie (also known as TT or Fast Eddie) was a person of interest in the case.  An arrest warrant was issued and an exhaustive search started.
