
Victims of Chelsea, Maine, Homicide Identified
On Thursday afternoon we told you about a double homicide in the town of Chelsea.
We now have additional details about the incident.
The initial press release explained that, at about 8:37 PM on Wednesday, members of the Maine State Police responded to a home on Windsor Road in Chelsea.
The press release explained:
Upon arrival, Troopers located two deceased adult males. Detectives and Evidence Response Technicians with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central responded to investigate and process the scene. The deceased individuals were transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where autopsies will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. A juvenile male was arrested at the scene and charged with murder
Authorities have now identified the two men who were killed in that incident.
A press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety explains that the two men were 43-year-old Christopher Hunnewell of Chelsea and 22-year-old Ty Carter of Chelsea.
At this time, officials have chosen to withhold the cause of death.
According to WMTW, Christopher Hunnewell was the father of Ty Carter. The article also states that Ty Carter's fiance was injured in the incident and that the 16-year-old boy who allegedly committed the killings is a member of the family.
